KIWI STEAK MARINADE
you will need:
1 lb. (500g) Marinating Steak (round, sirloin tip, flank)
or Simmering Steak (cross rib or blade)
1 Kiwi (peeled)
1 c. (250ml) Cola (or Cranberry Cocktail)
1 1/2 tsp. (7ml) Lemon Pepper or Steak Spice
Place kiwi in a zipper freezer bag and seal tightly. Mash Kiwi to a
pulp in bag. Add cola or cranberry cocktail and combine with kiwi by
massaging mixture together. Pierce steak numerous times with a fork.
Add steak to bag, seal and marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes,
turning bag over once or twice. Meanwhile, preheat BBQ or broiler. Remove
steak from bag. Discard marinade. Season steak with lemon pepper or
steak spice and BBQ/broil to desired doneness, using medium high heat
and turning only once with tongs. Makes 4 servings. Contains 160 Calories,
