What you will need:
1 jar (250ml) Red Currant Jelly

1 Green Onion, minced

1/4 c. (50ml) Soy Sauce

1 tsp. (5ml) ground Ginger

3 lbs. (1.5kg) Beef Blade or Cross Rib Pot Roast, Round, or Sirloin Tip Oven Roast trimmed of external fat. 

Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Combine first 4 ingredients. Brown all four sides of roast in a large, lightly oiled pot. Insert roast in roasting pan and pour jelly mixture over meat. Insert meat thermometer into center of roast. Cook roast covered for at least 3 hours on stove top or in a 325F (160C) oven.
